in that they are so in love with the Democrats? The picture below came from an excellent article on RedState, from Neil Stevens, that shows Romney’s path to victory. After reading it, the Gunny got to thinking WTF is wrong with these Blue States and their love of Liberalism when it screws them over every time?

Let us start with Washington State and move down and across the fruited plain. The Midwest is in the next post, followed by the East.

1. WA. Their state is looking at a one billion dollar deficit in 2013. Add in the liberal “fudge factor” and it is more likely to be closer to two billion. Their unemployment is over the nation average and you can bet those numbers were tweaked. The logging industry has been hampered by the greenies and their welfare rate has skyrocketed 32% (from 2009 to 2010) and is expected to increase even more in 2012 ($13B). There is rampant welfare fraud in Washington State as welfare recipients can withdraw cash in casinos. This state is tied with NM in welfare recipents.

2. OR. Their state is looking at a projected four billion dollar deficit in 2013. They, like WA, are overrun with union goons getting more for less. Their unemployment is up (as expected thanks to Obama) and their welfare has gone up since 2008 to a projected ($7B) in 2013. Oregon ranks number four in the top 10 of states with the highest taxation per capita. Greenies have hampered industry here as well.

3.  CA. Their state not only reelected a nutbag lib nicknamed Moonbeam Brown but their deficit is now 16B or so. Again union goons at work. Their unemployment rate is over the national average, they rank #15 in crime nationwide, and they are number five in the nation for taxation per capita. They have the highest sales tax in the land and are third in ranking on gas taxes. And illegal aliens cost them about 25B a year. Obama blocked offshore drilling and oddly enough, their gas prices are among the highest in the nation. They are number one is sucking down welfare bennies.

4.  NV. Their state has not only the highest deficit in the nation (54% of their state budget) but also has the highest crime level in the nation! Their unemployment rate has hit 12% (Aug). They are also last in the Opportunity Index because liberals have destroyed industry and jobs here.

5.  HI. Their state has a $2B deficit and while that is small, since they elected an idiot named Abercrombie as Governor, the deficit has grown each year since. They rank eighth in taxation per capita. Their cost of living is skyhigh as well with Hawaii ranking number 1 out of 50 states (57 if you believe Obama). All in all not bad for a Blue State other than Obama being born there.

6.  NM. This state has a half a billion dollar deficit. They are number two in crime after Nevada and their cost of living is fairly high. More importantly, they are number four in the nation for poverty and that mans they suck down a massive amount of welfare. They are number three in bringing in the welfare bennies AND number one in teen pregnancies. Must be nice to sit home, screw, have kids, and let the state pay for it all. Ah, liberalism.
