A rancher who let me hunt his land owned surface rights only but when the oil company came in they built a road to the site, drilled, struck and when they left they repaired/replaced everything. The site looked as it did before they came.
Oh, and they paid the rancher 5 grand for land damage, the cliche road to the site.. He then sold the cliche to the county commissioner for another 5 grand.
The county came out and loaded the cliche up and spread it on section line roads.
Old abandoned sites will be cleaned up by the oil companies. All you have to do is call them if you have one on your property. Very few of them left now. A “worm” or the lowest man on the drilling crew’s totem pole still gets around $20.00 an hour.

Figures, I heard or read some where that some place in New Jersey gas is at 9 bucks a gallon. I don’t know if this is bunk or not, but it wouldn’t suprise me one bit. It’s at 4.23 a gal for reg and ~ 5.00 gal for diesel out here where I live it sucks!!!! Every thing is connected to Energy dumb arse libs!!!!!! Food, H2O delivery, etc., etc. We need OUR resources NOW!!!and how. We need to build new refineries as well as exploiting EVERY SINGLE Place we can to get at OUR energy. We don’t want the environment to be destroyed DUH! We have to live here and there and drink the H2O Sheese! That’s such a specious argument as is already so worn out as is R.Carson’s book, “Silent Spring” about the BS about DDT as is gloBS not so much warming ( biggest hoax since plit down man).
