As far back as history goes, the government, be they Greeks, Romans, Persians, whatever, have used the “divide and conquer” mentality against their citizens and since it works, follow on governments have used it as well. Consider our own government as a prime example.

One, FDR, as the Great Socialist, instituted the welfare deal much like the Romans did with free bread and grain, in order to feed the people but also to gain control over them. One cannot get out of line when the government is feeding them, which also creates dependency, also an aid to government, as we have seen under Obama. Two, they drum up an enemy, be it the Huns, the Japs, or Social Security stealing, Grandma in the wheelchair pushing over the cliff evil rich Republicans, or as Obama stated, “the tea baggers,” and then they act accordingly. Finally, they fix a rebel group and crush them, as David Koresh and those nutty Branch Davidians found out when Clinton/Reno declared war on them and murdered them using government agencies. Think the Gunny is wrong here? Consider Obama and the Democrat’s war on religion, especially the Catholics versus The Slut, and the Obama Cartel’s appeasement and asskissing of Islam. Consider WHO signed off on the order allowing a detention of American citizens in violation of the 4th and 5th Amendments.

Bad news only gets worse with age and the bad news is that the government is using the income tax to screw the makers and reward the takers, i.e., Earned Income Credit, which has been used to subjugate the masses in a flank attack using taxation and rampant spending to gain and maintain control over our lives, our property, and our wealth. Consider this, what right does the government have to tax a person when they DIE? The Death Tax, passed by DEMOCRATS, is an abomination and yet both THEY AND the RINOs fight a repeal of it. They levy a tax on your corpse so that you cannot pass the full wealth of your estate to your heirs. Those who voted FOR THIS TAX, like Chappaquiddick Ted Kennedy, use fancy tax lawyers to shelter THEIR wealth so that they can pass it to THEIR heirs, at the expense of the American people.

Furthermore, as the Gunny has written in the past, what right does the government to make homeowners and property owners RENTERS through a property tax? What right does the government have to make US work SIX MONTHS just to pay taxes levied on us that THEY in government dodge, i.e., Rangel, Solis, Sebeliusm, Gheitner, etc.? Indeed, they have used the Fed to debase our currency 97% since 1913! How many BILLIONS of dollars have the average American lost in savings, pension, home prices, etc, because of a government that refuses to rein itself in and refuses to follow the Constitution AND the laws THEY PASS!? We have been taxed to the point where our Founders would have ALREADY revolted and now we hear that Social Security is bankrupt, the FDIC is bankrupt, Medicare is bankrupt and rife with corruption and fraud, welfare is skyrocketing, our public schools are a shambles, teachers go on strike for more and more while returning a crappier product each and every year. As a point of fact, 39% of Chicago teachers send THEIR kids to PRIVATE SCHOOLS! Obama HIMSELF sends HIS kids to the BEST PRIVATE SCHOOL in the nation, while opposing school vouchers.

The Piper MUST be paid for the tunes he plays and those who went before us thought that they could trade their freedom for security, as they did by ignoring the creep of Social Security from a widow and orphans fund to a bullshit retirement fund. They continued to ignore the creep of government when LBJ and the Congressional Democrats raped the SS Fund and rolled it into the General Fund, where it has been skimmed since then. There is no social security fund, it is gone. The Silent Majority was asleep at the switch as they  surrendered their freedom for a promise and a kiss that they would be prosperous. They were asleep at the switch as the Progressives took over the public schools and trusted that they would continue to teach American children that their country was great, that the Founders created a great Republic, that the founding documents were the best items ever crafted by Man, and that American freedom and sovereignty was worth fighting for. Boy were THEY wrong.

Obama calls for us to sacrifice more, to contribute more to him and the government and that more and more taxes will save the welfare state (for the children mind you) and if we can just tax the rich to the point of their bankruptcy, the utopia of prosperity is just around the next corner! There are two groups in America today (excluding those screwed by the job killing Obama Cartel who seek but cannot find a job) and they are the makers and the takes. The makers pay their taxes because if they don’t, the IRS will freeze and seize their bank accounts, have their homes taken from them and auctioned off, and wages and other income garnished and forcibly taken through court actions. If they resist, then they face criminal charges! Whenever a Democrat or a ProgStat (Progressive Statist) calls for more sacrifice, they of course mean US and not them and not the takers whom they divert our money to, in order to garner their votes. In the brain of Obama, “what is our’s is his and what is his is his!”

Reliance on government CRUSHES the spirit and destroys self-esteem. Just take one look at how the Democrats have helped the Black Race since 1965. That 67% of the Democrats want MORE government interference in America shows the width of the divide. THEY want to BE slaves, WE want to be FREE!
