I think Ryan’s an excellent choice for Romney’s VP, Gunny…if Romney’s smart, he’ll unleash Ryan to attack Obama on specific policy issues while Romney takes the high ground and attacks Obama on principles(which should be easy since Obama and his minions have no principles whatsoever).
At the very least, picking Ryan should put what’s at stake in this election in clear, sharp focus; either we back the hell away from the fiscal cliff(by electing Romney & Ryan) or we continue headlong into fiscal oblivion(by keeping Obama & Biden)…

Paul Ryan appears to be a natural born U.S. citizen and eligible to be Vice President. He was born in Wisconsin and I assume that his parents were U.S. citizens at the time of his birth. I’ll have to look further into this. He has a mixed record. He voted to ban discrimination against homos in employment (Bad Vote.) He voted against repeal of the ban on homos in the military (Good Vote.) He voted to make the PATRIOT Act permanent (Bad Vote.)
While I dislike the Patriot Act immensely, there are good provisions in it but like anything, it ain’t perfect. As far as homos go, you CAN’T ban them from the workplace but I definately agree with his vote on DADT. Obama opened it up to homos simply for the vote, never considering the downside.
