GREAT MOMENTS IN LIBERAL/FASCIST HISTORY

The Enabling Act was passed by the Reichstag on 23 March 1933. This was part two of Hitler’s major power grab, after passing the Reichstag Fire Decree, wherein he grabbed plenary powers and established his dictatorship. The Enabling Act granted the Cabinet the authority to enact laws without the participation of the Reichstag, kinda like Obama wanting to pass laws himself without the participation of Congress or Dingy Reid’s corrupt-as-hell Senate.

Check out Article 4 of the Enabling Act: “Treaties of the Reich with foreign states which affect matters of Reich legislation shall not require the approval of the bodies of the legislature. The government of the Reich shall issue the regulations required for the execution of such treaties.”

Sound familiar? Article 2 is even better!

Laws enacted by the government of the Reich may deviate from the constitution as long as they do not affect the institutions of the Reichstag and the Reichsrat. The rights of the President remain undisturbed.”

Sounds REALLY familiar huh? How many times have we heard Dumbo yapping that he wished he could bypass Congress? Therein lies the tyrant.

And it was nominally called, “The Law to Remedy the Distress of the People and the Nation.”

This is ALWAYS how liberals and fascists, oops, the Gunny digresses, work. It is ALWAYS for “the people” or “the children.”

Guess what other fantastic power grab was signed on 23 March? Only 77 years later? If you guessed ObamaKare, the liberal’s grab for 1/6th of the economy wherein they can pick their winners and losers and subject the entire American people to substandard health care ala England, then take a bow.

Odd how history repeats itself.

The urge to save humanity is almost always a false front for the urge to rule.”
H. L. Mencken

  1. I guess if you don’t know history or your not taught history it will repeat itself, because it sure looks like it has started.

  2. Amazing how many “smart” people cannot see that,Guns. Good post.
